Markdown to PowerPoint

Write slides in Markdown and download a PowerPoint deck with themes, tables, code and speaker notes.

PDF & Files: Make PDFs from HTML, Markdown and Word; merge, split and convert. It runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.

What it does

Markdown to PowerPoint turns plain Markdown into a real .pptx deck you can open in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides. Write slides as text, with themes, tables, code blocks and speaker notes, and download in 16:9 or 4:3, or as a PDF.

How to use it

  1. Write in the Markdown editor, separating slides with a line containing ---.
  2. The first # heading makes a title slide; ## headings make slide titles.
  3. Add speaker notes with a line starting Note:.
  4. Choose a theme and 16:9 or 4:3.
  5. Download PowerPoint or PDF.

This makes a title slide and a bullet slide with a speaker note.

Good to know

  • Keep to about six bullets per slide; split longer content into more slides.
  • Tables and code blocks become real PowerPoint tables and text, so you can still edit them afterwards.
  • To present without PowerPoint, open the file in the PowerPoint Viewer and click Present.

FAQ

Can I edit the slides in PowerPoint afterwards? Yes. Everything is ordinary, editable PowerPoint content.

Can I add images? Use a Markdown image with a web address: ![Chart](https://…/chart.png).
