v1.1 · Human-readable tokens and five API guides
2026-11-06 JWT and PASETO badges that speak human time, and five in-depth guides for API design.
- The JWT decoder shows expiry in relative time ("Expires in 3 h"), flags tokens with no expiry, and warns when a token is unsigned (alg: none).
- The PASETO verifier shows when a token expires or becomes valid, in relative time, for both ISO and numeric claims.
- The password generator states its yardstick: crack times assume an offline attack at 10 billion guesses per second.
- Five in-depth guides for API work: what a REST API is, SOAP in depth, HTTP status codes explained, designing API responses, and naming conventions.
- The About page links to our GitHub and LinkedIn, and every page now tells search engines about those profiles (sameAs).
v1.0 · A fresh start
2026-10-29 InTab 1.0: 72 tools with developer tools first, a written guide on every tool page, and formatters that fix broken input instead of rejecting it.
- 44 developer tools: formatters, converters, encoders, JWT and PASETO tokens, encryption and hashing, date and time, and text tools.
- Paste JSON or XML straight from a log: missing or extra brackets, text around the data, trailing commas and unclosed tags are repaired, and Auto-fix writes the result back.
- 28 business tools: invoices, quotes and receipts, barcodes and QR codes, payslips and timesheets, and PDF tools.
- Every tool page has a guide below it: what the tool does, how to use it, a worked example and answers to common questions.
- About and Privacy pages: how the tools are tested, how to check in your browser that nothing is uploaded, and a button to clear everything the site has saved.
- PDF to Word has an Exact layout mode: each Word page looks like the PDF page, with every line editable in place and the same fonts, sizes and colours, and the lines, boxes and images kept behind the text.
- A new top bar: a Tools menu listing every tool, plus Blog, Changelog, About and Privacy, with search behind the magnifier (or Ctrl K).
- Developer tools come first in search, on the home page and in every list.
- Faster pages, stronger colour contrast, larger tap targets, and clearer labels for screen readers.
- PDF to Word no longer shows question-mark boxes for PDFs saved from a browser: characters the PDF does not store as text are read with OCR instead.
- Retired 22 tools so the rest get more care: the profit, tax, pricing, loan, interest, cash-flow and industry calculators, the business name, slogan and email copy generators, inventory and e-commerce tools, and the contract, letter and report templates. Their old addresses lead to the home page.
