What it does
The Excel Viewer opens spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls, .ods and .csv) without Excel. It shows each sheet in a grid with sheet tabs, a formula bar that shows the formula behind a cell, and Find in rows to search.
How to use it
- Open a spreadsheet or drop it onto the page.
- Switch sheets with the tabs at the bottom.
- Click a cell to see its value or formula in the formula bar.
- Type into Find in rows to show only the rows that contain your text.
Good to know
- Values are shown as last calculated and saved by the spreadsheet program; formulas are not recalculated.
- Charts, images, pivot tables and macros are not shown.
- To convert a sheet to CSV or JSON, use the CSV ↔ Excel Converter.
