Timesheet Calculator

Weekly hours from start, end and break times, with overtime and pay. Printable.

HR & Payroll: Payslips, salaries and timesheets. It runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.

What it does

The Timesheet Calculator adds up a week of working hours from start, end and break times, works out overtime by the day or the week, and calculates pay at your hourly rate. Print it or save it as a PDF for an employer or client.

How to use it

  1. Enter the Employee name, Company / client and Week starting date.
  2. For each day, enter the start time, end time and break. The fill button sets Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.
  3. Set the hourly rate.
  4. Choose Overtime: Weekly (for example after 40 h a week), Daily (after 8 h a day) or None, and the overtime multiplier.
  5. Add a Note if needed, then Print / Save PDF or download CSV.

Example

Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:00 with a 30-minute break, is 9 hours a day, 45 hours in the week. With weekly overtime after 40 hours at 1.5× and a rate of 20:

Hours Pay
Regular 40 800
Overtime 5 150
Total 45 950

Good to know

  • Shifts that end after midnight are handled: an end time earlier than the start counts into the next day.
  • Overtime rules depend on country, state and contract. In the US, federal law uses 40 hours a week; California also has daily overtime.
  • The sheet is kept in this browser until you clear it.

FAQ

How do I convert hours and minutes to decimal hours? Divide the minutes by 60: 7 h 45 min is 7.75 hours.

Can I track more than one week? Print or save each week, then change Week starting for the next one.
