What it does
The QR Code Generator makes QR codes for websites, restaurant menus, Wi-Fi, contacts (vCard), email, SMS, phone numbers and plain text. Add your logo, a frame with a call to action such as SCAN ME, choose colours and dot style, and download as PNG or SVG.
How to use it
- Choose the type: URL, Menu, Wi-Fi, Contact, Email, SMS, Phone or Text.
- Fill in the fields, for example the Network name (SSID), password and security for Wi-Fi.
- Under Style, choose colours and Square, Rounded or Dots.
- Under Logo & frame, add a logo and a frame such as Frame: SCAN FOR MENU, or write your own.
- Download PNG or SVG, or Copy image.
Example
A Wi-Fi code for network Cafe Guest with WPA/WPA2 contains:
WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe Guest;P:espresso2026;H:false;;
Guests scan it and join without typing the password.
Good to know
- These are static QR codes: the content is in the code itself, so it never expires and works without any service. To change the content, make a new code.
- With a logo, choose error correction High (30%) so the code still scans with part of it covered.
- Keep strong contrast (dark code on a light background) and print it at least 2 × 2 cm. Always test-scan before printing in bulk.
- SVG is best for print because it scales without blurring.
FAQ
Do these QR codes expire? No. There is no redirect service in between, so they work for as long as the content (such as your website) exists.
Can I make many QR codes at once? Yes, with the Bulk QR Code Generator.
