What it does
Base64 to Image shows the picture inside a Base64 string or data URL and lets you download it as a file. It detects the image type (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG or ICO) from the data itself, so it works even when the data: prefix is missing.
How to use it
- Paste the Base64 text or the full data URL (
data:image/png;base64,…), or open a text file containing it. - Check the preview, the type, the size and the dimensions.
- Click download to save the image with the right file extension.
Example
Pasting data:image/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciIHZpZXdCb3g9IjAgMCAxMCAxMCI+PGNpcmNsZSBjeD0iNSIgY3k9IjUiIHI9IjUiLz48L3N2Zz4= shows a small black circle and offers it as an .svg file.
Good to know
- Spaces and line breaks in the Base64 are ignored, so text copied from an email or a log still works.
- If nothing appears, the text may be cut off: Base64 copied from a log is often truncated.
- Base64 found in JSON API responses (for example a
"photo": "…"field) can be pasted directly, without the quotes.
